I don't feel very comfortable about posting this news under the category of "General Prattle and Gossip". However, there doesn't seem to be any other suitable place.

Very sad news elsewhere re the passing of Jim Reid

He'll be very sorely missed.

I came to his music via the singing of Jean Redpath and her album "A Fine Song for the Singing".  His were indeed fine songs.  His setting of "Hallowe'en" is one of the most haunting songs I know.

Sleep well

Steve

The comments on Simone's youtube page say it all.
