"The trouble wi you..."

"... is yer aw 'me, me, me'. " So I was told.

So in keeping with my reputation, I'd like to point out to any interested parties, that I will be playing at The Scotia again on Wednesday, 1st July.

Stockwell Street, Glasgow.

Free entry

Even if you're not interested in hearing me, try to support this, it's one of the last bastions of good practice where a pub is hosting gigs for free but the performer still gets paid.

Starts at 8:00 pm and I am asked to mention that my bit will be over by 10:00 and the organisers hope to let a session follow after. That, of course, will only happen if there are musicians and singers to hold such.

Och that's a pity Jim.

I have a ticket for an oompah band concert in the Harz Mountains next Wednesday. My lederhosen are already packed.
Catskinner

Seriously, get along to this gig.

Jim's a rerr turn.

Such a shame, I think I would prefer to get to the Harz Mountains myself, I understand you cut quite a dash in your lederhosen. Have you booked your 'oompah' on as hand luggage?
Catskinner

I thought I might pick one up while I'm there.

FFS. Let's NOT go down the 'those bastards at Ryanair are trying to charge me for taking my (insert instrument name here) on their planes' greet.

Of course they are. They're a commercial organisation, not set up with the express purpose of making folkie's lives easier. You want to take your bass euphonium abroad for fun or fortune - pay for it  :x

What about my banjo and bodhran?

Compared to previous opinions you've expressed, that sounds like an upgrade. Smilie_PDT

As an officer and a gentleman I know how to behave. I just don't always choose to do so.

Bollox. I've no baby sitter and I'm on my onio this week as Alan goes a climbing in the Alps - hey! - I wonder if he's really off comparing lederhosen wi thon Catskinner bloke?

If Al comes back home wi an oompah he's "gettin it, lavvyheid."

Good luck for tomorrow Jim, I fairly enjoyed it the last time we saw you there. To be fair, I've never not enjoyed your music.

Thank you,  wave
