An elegant evening of Gaelic Emigrant Song

As part of Homecoming's 'A'Chraobh' programme in the Highlands, I am having a recital of Gaelic Emigrant Songs in Brodie Castle on Sunday 25th October , Nairn.  With songs from my latest album "A Good Suit of Clothes", Beautiful surroundings, lovely piano , emotive contemporary dance from Gemma Giubarelli , art display by Highland pupils and best of all - bubbly and canapes will be served...
Come and join us for this very special evening. More details at www.fionamackenzie.org/Brodie_Castle

Gie it a rest, Onny.

Fiona, I'm sure, is well aware that no such fare was provided for the said immigrants.

But as Stalin said "One day we will all ride first class".

I was at the launch of this album and it was only my long held contention that, if i don't speak the tounge, I don't review the album, that prevented me from giving a glowing review of it.

If you can get to it, I would recommend this event to you, I much enjoyed my short exposure to Fiona's singing and if I had reviewed it I would have compared it to BMcN's "Back of the North Wind".

............ but in the meantime we'll have to settle for bubbly and canapes in a sumptuous drawingroom in a castle(?)

Recital

I'm happy to reserve the comfiest squashiest sofa for you Onny. blackeye
At least Im trying to give  Gaelic and the Gaelic emigrants some profile in this 'Year of Homecoming' - something which has been sadly very low on the agenda this year.
Still some tickets available for anybody who would like to come on Sunday night.
( and taing Renfrewshire Radical for your comments, Im glad you enjoy the album!)
Onny

Thank you indeed Fiona but I'm not sure an event where bubbly and canapes is "best of all" would be my sort of gig.

So all that Gaelic deserves is porridge and water then ,is that right Onny:0) The word is 'celebrate' the Gael.

I'm just surprised that the publicity suggests the best of all bit of the evening will be the bevvy and nosebag.

At £20 a skull it had better be bloody good.

Folk  pay £20 for a Celtic Connections gig no bother- without the refreshments. And you're also getting a good old nosy round the castle as well for which you'd normally pay £8.50......
How many tickets would you like Onny sunny
