Stoney River Band get plugged on Celtic radio Glasgow

An' tha's a fact! On Sunday.
Rid Sonja

Who's show are you starring in on Sunday?
kickboot

'twould be a gross exaggeration to say we were starring (sigh) . It's just that Ciaran Dorris has been nice enough to play the odd track from our CD on his show from 5 to 7pm, and has had good feedback.
Thanks Ciaran!

There are three Stoney River Bands -- we're the one from France.
Onny

Plugged obviously means something different in France than it does in Govan.
kickboot

It's not a French thing but mibbe you don't understand

As some of you know I'm partial to the occassional have it away day and recently went to Helensburgh. Just before Helensburgh station "The Song of the Clyde" came into my head and I just can't get the line 'Imagine we’ve left Ciaran Dorris behind  And wind-happy yachts by Kilcreggan we find............'

You only leave him behind if you'r listening on AM and you get outside the range of CMR's transmitter.

If you've an internet connection Ciaran can follow you round the world.

Some may find that scary.

I don't. I like Ciaran, he's a smashin singer, and that radio show of his is just plain daft.

You'll lose the AM signal a lot further east than Craigendoran.

Did you know someone in the White House listens to CMR online?

As I've said before, I'm astonished that Ciaran's voice comes out of his frame.

Same here.  One of my quiet pleasures is watching someone who has never heard him sing before hear him, and their reaction to what comes out.  Makes me laugh every time.

Of course I was that same sojer the first time I heard him sing..

Thanks Ciaran! flower

Give Ciaran my best when you see him.  I listen in sometimes, but this weekend I've got a family dinner to deal with..

I'll pass your regards to Ciaran, but I won't physically see him cos I'm in France. But anyway here's the link to the Stoneys.
