Some of you will be aware that CJ has been having problems with a undiagnosed pain which has laid him low for the last month or more.
He was taken into the Southern General Hospital at the weekend. He's being treated for the resulting symptoms of his pain, being unable to sleep, s(h)it or stand for any length of time.

Well, he's a lot better, on morphine, and was getting a MRI scan to find the source of his pain.

I went to see him on monday night and he's out of pain and feeling more himself than he has for a month.

Keep you posted until the man can do it.

I'm delighted the analgesics are working and that he's feeling better.

Mind you, I never thought I'd see the day when 'Govan man on drugs' was worthy of a dedicated thread.

Oh, NO!  That all sounds very horrible and indeed painful.  I am glad you told us, Mr. Raddy.

It is good to hear that he is getting better. And I do hope  this improvement continues, with treatment in hospital and the right medicines, and then home  very soon.

Still, I like Onny's comment too.      cheers   Straight from the Cynics 'R' Us department.

Get well soon, CJ.     Now!     At once!

News from yesterday, he went for his scan, but even a double dose of morphine was not enough to let him lie still. They're having a re-think. Keep you posted. Raddy

He's continuin tae improve and was almost speedily moving around the ward.  He's been ordered to exercise his leg muscles which have atrophied a bit due to lyin in bed for so long.  He asked - and wiz granted - the use of his wee parlour guitar.  It seems that he caused a wee stir last night giving a performance in tunes and songs.  "Ah'm blessed tae be in hospital n be listenin tae a  guid player singing guid songs!" said Angus McGlumpher fae the next bed...

Especially a captive audience. Still, I'm told they were so appreciative they asked the staff if CJ could be rewarded with a single room.................... preferably in the Vicky.

Reminds me of an old friend who, in the hospital when the docs had finally agreed about brain haemmorage,  wanted so much to have his guitar - "oh but please, M, my good pal, my ex-wife, please to bring me my favourite guitar to the hospital.

I don't think he even planned to play it - I think he wanted to hug it goodbye.  Heh, but he lived and is fine.    Smilie_PDT    Many long years since.
