We set this forum up to see if there was a demand for discussion of things to do with folk and acoustic music in general.
We reckoned there may be some who would appreciate a new independent place on the web to air their views or plug their gigs and stuff.
A few guidelines on posting.
1: no porn.
2: no racism
3: no sexism
4: no religious bigotry
5: no homophobia
6: no pejorative language referencing disabled people
You know all that. How hard could that be?
Apparently it's quite difficult for some. They're not usually folkies right enough.
Anyway, bear in mind the sign on the door that gives an indication of what the place is about.

7: If you can't think of anything else to post it's maybe better not to post at all rather than post keech.

It also gives folks something different to discuss. Over-narrow parameters have been the death of topical fora since the .alt days of USENET...nothing under the sun is inexhaustible. |

Do we really want this place turning into an online version of the Sunday Post or the People's Friend.
As soon as you stary posting keech 'cos you "can't think of anything else to post" in a futile attempt to keep your page impressions up, you're fucked (not to mention looking stupid).
Bad enough to do it. To confess to doing it? The mind boggles. I blame the parents.
