Ah blame MollyD - cheeky wee bissom that she is. It's a thread that would have died a natural death after half a dozen posts and Simone could have gone back to scouring the Sunday Post for items about six weeks notice of thon cunt Connery's 78th birthday and trying to pass it off as having relevance to Scottish and Celtic Music.

Funnily enough, I had occasion to look in that forum last week.  It's not a place I usually go because I find it a bit too staid, but I opened up that thread at random.  I think I got to page 3 before my eyes glazed over but, being a hardy sort, I fast-forwarded a couple of pages hoping to see that the 'issue' had been resolved.  When it was obvious that it hadn't I had to leave...not been back since.

A stooshie in an empty shop. It isn't a room in any generally accepted sense of the word. It's only there to sell you stuff. The Scottish Kilt Towels and Tea Towels are very popular  bounce A bit like the People's Friend wi a sprinkin' uv Teuchter Taliban thread thieves.

In the spirit of frendship between fora, I can assure you that anyone requesting translations of anything but Scots will be directed forthwith to Simon's playpen.

Such generosity will ensure your eternal exclusion from the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame (not to be confused wi' the Scottish Traditional Musichall of Fame) Smilie_PDT

I tried, I really did but couldn't get to the bottom of page 2.
I'd be amazed if we could even produce a thread of that calibre.

Thanks for the heads up East Coaster, a cure for insomnia if ever I saw one.

Jay-sus christ, who's forcing you to read it?  If it's not to your liking, read something else...or don't read anything at all.  Only bedwetters whinge because they can't control the behaviour or posting habits of others.

It's almost unmissable and by far the best thread since you know who was banned Smilie_PDT It's as if people are deliberately keeping the mischief going

Of course, but these things sometimes have the fascination of a train crash!

But only when it's somebody else's forum of course.

Dierdre's right of course...and I'm exceedingly bored with the topic now.

Could we think of something else to talk about that we don't want to happen here?

I don't want trolls to come here, and if they do, I would like them dispensed with sooner rather than later.  Although, sometimes it can be fun playing with them till boredom descends... duckie

Sonia,

I do hope you don't think I'm a troll.  :(

My biggest problem with that thread is that it has become seriously "off topic". The original poster just wanted a simple translation request.

That shouldn't be our concern over here, of course. I agree.

Don't you feel we all have a responsibility, whilst not mocking the afflicted, to continue to rip the pish out of anywhere which has a 'young persons east coast' feel to it?

As for East Coaster being a troll. Nothing could be further from the truth.

I doubt very much that RS was referring to East Coaster.
